Providing High-Quality Early Dementia Screening Services to Local Residents
On October 23, Geochang Red Cross Hospital in South Gyeongsang Province announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Geochang County Dementia Relief Center to provide high-quality early dementia screening services to local residents.
Through this agreement, the two organizations will establish a cooperative framework and work together to conduct diagnostic and differential tests, provide early treatment and management of dementia, and promote early dementia screening programs. Their joint efforts aim to improve public health in the region.

Geochang Red Cross Hospital will offer advanced examinations, such as brain imaging (including MRI) and blood tests, as well as specialized medical consultations to individuals who are suspected of cognitive decline based on the results of the first-stage cognitive screening conducted by the Geochang County Dementia Relief Center.
Lee Jeongheon, Director of the Geochang County Dementia Relief Center, expressed his commitment, stating, "We will do our best to establish an integrated dementia management system within the community so that all local residents can receive medical care with peace of mind and convenience."
Choi Jun, Director of Geochang Red Cross Hospital, remarked, "Through this agreement, I hope not only to enhance the quality of early dementia screening services but also to help create a dementia-friendly community. Our hospital will continue to take the lead in promoting health and building a robust medical safety net."
Meanwhile, Geochang Red Cross Hospital began offering neurology consultations with a newly invited specialist on October 1.
