Yeungnam University (President Choi Oechul) held a donation ceremony for a development fund from CEO Min-ki Choi of Emotone Co., Ltd. in the president’s reception room at the university’s main building on the afternoon of the 21st. The donated development fund amounts to 10 million won and will be used with care to improve the university’s educational environment and nurture talented individuals.
Attending the ceremony were President Choi Oechul and Vice President for Industry-Academic Research Kim Samsu. From Emotone Co., Ltd., CEO Min-ki Choi-a graduate of Yeungnam University’s Department of Fine Arts (Sculpture Major)-was joined by Deputy General Manager Baek Seungwoo, Assistant Manager Park Junseok, Assistant Manager Lee Jiseon, and Chief Kim Taegyun, all of whom are also Yeungnam University alumni, sharing their affection for their alma mater.

Emotone Co., Ltd. is a company specializing in interior and architectural construction. Leveraging its distinctive design sensibility and construction expertise, it has grown by carrying out various architectural projects for schools, public institutions, hospitals, and residential facilities. In particular, the company has directly participated in projects related to Yeungnam University and Yeungnam University Hospital, consistently contributing to the development of its alma mater. Currently, many Yeungnam University graduates are responsible for key practical work at the company, earning it a reputation as a “company that grows together with its alma mater.”
CEO Min-ki Choi stated, “It was thanks to the knowledge and spirit of challenge I gained at Yeungnam University that I was able to build the company as it is today. I decided to make this donation out of a desire to give back the love and learning I received from my alma mater. I will continue to support my juniors so that they can grow with pride.”
