On October 22, the Department of Korean Language Education at Gwangju University announced that it had signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Gwangju-Jeonnam Vietnamese Community Association and Flamboyant Trade & Service Co., Ltd. for business Korean language and Korean culture education, as well as the cultivation of global talents.
The three organizations plan to collaborate on a variety of initiatives to provide practical education and career development opportunities for Vietnamese residents and students in the region. These initiatives include cooperation in Korean language and culture education for Vietnamese international students and residents, joint operation of extracurricular business Korean language programs, and the establishment of a multicultural coexistence network within the local community.
To commemorate the agreement, Nguyen Thi Le Hoa, President of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Vietnamese Community Association, delivered a special lecture to students of the Department of Korean Language Education at Gwangju University on the topic of "The Vietnamese Community and Korean Language in the Global Business Field." Nguyen Thi Le Hoa stated, "Korean is not just a tool for communication, but a bridge for understanding each other's cultures and building trust," and added, "I hope students at Gwangju University will grow into global experts who connect Korea and Vietnam through language."
Kim Yunhee, head of the Department of Korean Language Education, commented, "This agreement is a cooperative model for mutual growth, created together by the university, businesses, and the local expatriate community. It will be a meaningful opportunity for students to understand the realities of industry and culture, and to learn how Korean language education can be practiced on a global scale."
With this agreement, the Department of Korean Language Education at Gwangju University plans to expand practical Korean language education programs in collaboration with the Vietnamese community and local companies, and to strengthen its efforts in cultivating global talents based in the region.
