A Chinese woman who attempted to break into the residence of Jungkook from the group BTS will not face trial.
The Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 22nd that it had issued a suspension of indictment on September 10 for a Chinese woman in her 30s, identified as Ms. A, who was under suspicion of attempted trespassing. A suspension of indictment means that the facts of the case are acknowledged, but the prosecutor has decided not to refer the case to trial after considering the circumstances and consequences of the offense.
It is reported that the prosecution took into account the fact that Ms. A's crime was only an attempt and that she had left for her home country, making the risk of reoffending low.
Ms. A was accused of attempting to enter Jungkook's residence in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, at around 11:20 p.m. on June 11, 2025, the day Jungkook was discharged from military service, by repeatedly pressing the door lock password. Police, responding to a report at the time, arrested Ms. A at the scene. On August 27, the police referred Ms. A to the prosecution without detention.
