According to the county on October 22, this promotional booth was set up to help increase the local population and support urban residents in settling in rural areas. Both the Imsil County Center for Returning to Farming and Rural Living and the county office’s dedicated team participated jointly.
At the booth, one-on-one customized consultations were offered, including guidance on the procedures for returning to farming and rural living, an introduction to local living infrastructure, consultations on housing and agricultural support policies, and explanations of region-specific specialty crops.
In particular, the booth focused on promoting the “Experience Living in the Countryside” program. This program allows participants to stay in Imsil for three months, where they can engage in activities unique to the region such as cheese-making experiences, participating in village festivals, and hands-on farming practice, attracting the interest of visitors considering a move to rural life.
Additionally, the county actively promoted the “Imsil County Temporary Housing Facility for Returning to Farming and Rural Living,” which addresses the major challenge of securing housing for prospective returnees. By providing homes and practice farms at reasonable costs to those wishing to relocate, the county helps ease the initial settlement process, resulting in considerable interest and many inquiries.
County Governor Sim Min stated, “Many visitors to the booth showed high interest by applying for consultations and programs,” adding, “We plan to strengthen practical support for settlement by expanding experience programs and offering customized consulting in the future.”
