Second Matcha Dessert Series... 'Binch Premier'

Lotte Wellfood Unveils Second Matcha Dessert Series
Global Craze for Green Continues
Launch of Regular Matcha-Flavored Products

The global popularity of matcha continues to grow. Beyond simply being consumed as food, it is becoming established as a cultural phenomenon from a self-care perspective. Matcha is known for its antioxidant properties and its ability to boost metabolism. Its rich flavor, which is deeper than that of green tea, and its vibrant green color have also contributed to its widespread appeal.

Lotte Wellfood has launched the second lineup of its 'Matcha Dessert Series' in October, responding to the ongoing popularity of matcha. The new products include three varieties: Binch Premier Matcha, Premium Mon Cher Matcha & Strawberry, and Premium Ghana Langue de Chat Matcha Chocolat. The 'Binch Premier Matcha,' which was the most popular item in the first series, has been re-released as a regular product. The first lineup of matcha desserts, created in collaboration with the cafe Cheongsudang in May, sold out its entire stock of nearly 2 million units within just one month of launch, drawing significant attention.

'Binch Premier Matcha' is a product that combines a crispy chocolate biscuit with 100% Jeju matcha. Upon its initial release, it became the top-selling product among all Lotte Wellfood items in some major sales channels, demonstrating its popularity.

'Premium Mon Cher Matcha & Strawberry' is the first product under the 'Premium Mon Cher' brand, featuring about 25% more cream than the original Mon Cher. 'Premium Ghana Langue de Chat Matcha Chocolat' features a soft langue de chat cookie made with Jeju matcha, coated in Ghana chocolate.

A Lotte Wellfood representative stated, "Matcha, which is beloved by global consumers, is expected to become established as a steady trend and a cultural phenomenon, rather than just a short-lived fad," adding, "We hope for continued support for the second Matcha Dessert Series, including the newly regularized 'Binch Premier Matcha.'
