150 Five-Year-Olds from Five Northern Kindergartens Participate
Fostering Ecological Sensitivity
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) will hold the "Immersed in the Autumn Forest" forest experience event at Hwamyeong Arboretum on the morning of October 23. The event will involve 150 five-year-old children from five kindergartens in the northern region (Noah, Modeok, Mudeok, Bethel, and Hanbit).
This event is organized by Noah Kindergarten, a leading institution in early childhood education, and will be held in collaboration with nearby kindergartens under the theme "Our Dreams Ripen in Green." Noah Kindergarten aims to share its experience in ecological education and has created a space for teachers and children to learn and grow together through an ecology-centered curriculum.
The experience program includes a variety of activities such as ▲autumn forest walks ▲insect observation ▲autumn fruit play ▲exploring the forest and sky with mirrors ▲crafting with natural materials. Through these activities, the children will have the opportunity to experience the changes of nature and the seasons firsthand, fostering their curiosity and imagination.
Superintendent Kim Seokjun said, "I hope this will be a valuable opportunity for children to connect with nature and cultivate ecological sensitivity in the autumn forest," adding, "I look forward to the excellent educational activities of leading early childhood institutions spreading to local kindergartens and daycare centers, thereby contributing to the improvement of early childhood education quality in the era of integrated care and education."
