Dong Suh Foods will operate the flagship store 'Kanu Capsule Tailor in Bukchon' in Bukchon, Jongno-gu, Seoul, until November 2.
'Kanu Capsule Tailor' is a space where visitors can experience and purchase Kanu capsules, including those exclusively for the Kanu Barista Machine and compatible capsules for other devices. Like a tailor shop that creates custom clothing, visitors can discover personalized coffee capsules tailored to their preferences and lifestyle.
When visitors enter the reception area, they are matched with a dedicated tailor. Depending on the capsule coffee machine they own, they can sample three representative capsules, recording their coffee preferences-such as acidity and body-in a 'Capsule Tailoring Note.' After confirming their preferences, visitors can freely explore the capsule discovery zone and select their desired capsule, which they can then taste for free.
Purchasing an experience ticket for 15,000 won provides additional benefits. These include the 'Kanu Table,' which consists of two pairing desserts-such as Monaka, Madeleine, and Financier-that complement the chosen coffee, as well as the 'MY Tailor Package,' which contains seven types of capsules suited to the visitor's coffee preferences.
'Kanu Barista' is a premium capsule coffee brand launched in 2003, embodying over 50 years of Dong Suh Foods' coffee manufacturing technology and expertise. With 13 exclusive capsule varieties catering to diverse consumer tastes, it uses 9.5 grams of coffee beans per capsule-1.7 times more than standard espresso capsules-to deliver a generous amount of high-quality Americano. Kanu Barista offers a range of roast intensities, including light roast, medium roast, dark roast, decaffeinated, and single origin, allowing customers to enjoy coffee that matches their individual preferences.
