S-Oil Donates 100 Million Won to Low-Income Families in Mapo-gu, Seoul

Scholarships and Donations for Educational Support and Welfare Enhancement

S-Oil has continued its tradition of giving back to the local community in Mapo-gu, Seoul, where its headquarters are located, this year as well.

S-Oil Donates 100 Million Won to Low-Income Families in Mapo-gu, Seoul

On October 22, S-Oil delivered a total of 100 million won in scholarships and welfare donations to the Mapo Talent Development Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Kwon Ohbeom) and the Mapo Welfare Foundation (Chairman Lee Hongjoo) at the Mapo District Office, to support students from low-income families and the local community. This sponsorship was organized to enhance educational support and welfare for low-income families in the Mapo area.


Ryu Yeol, CEO of S-Oil, stated, "I hope that S-Oil's scholarships and donations will provide some support to students and the local community facing difficulties," adding, "We will continue to grow together with the local community and practice ESG management."


Since 2012, S-Oil has provided annual scholarships and welfare donations for low-income families in Mapo-gu. The company also engages in various sharing activities, such as distributing Tteokguk during the Lunar New Year, Songpyeon during Chuseok, and hosting free cultural and artistic performances every month.
