Mandatory from July Next Year
Sharing Response Strategies
Samil PwC announced on October 22 that it will hold a seminar titled "Asset Manager Responsibility Structure System and Consulting Proposals" for asset management companies at 3:00 p.m. on October 31 at the Amore Hall on the 2nd floor of its headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
This seminar has been organized to provide asset management companies with solutions optimized for each firm's work and system environment, ahead of the enforcement of the mandatory submission of responsibility structure diagrams for financial investment businesses (with total assets of less than 5 trillion won or managed assets of less than 20 trillion won) starting in July next year.
Samil PwC has collected a wide range of opinions through on-site communication with compliance officers at asset management companies. In particular, leveraging the in-house development capabilities of its dedicated artificial intelligence (AI) organization, AX Node, and its consulting experience with responsibility structure diagrams, Samil PwC plans to present system features and operational strategies designed from the client's perspective.
The seminar will consist of two sessions. In the first session, Jung Hae-min, partner at Samil PwC AX Node, will give a lecture on "Responsibility Structure System Features and Operational Strategies." In the second session, Seo Jeong-ryeol, partner at the Responsibility Structure Diagram Center, will speak on "Samil PwC Responsibility Structure Diagram Consulting and Operational Strategies."
Kim Kyung-gu, leader (partner) of the Financial Industry Division at Samil PwC and the organizer of this seminar, stated, "Asset management companies that are required to submit responsibility structure diagrams starting July 2 next year are struggling to find an appropriate level of preparation and effective operational strategies given their limited budgets and personnel. We hope this seminar will provide practical assistance to asset management companies as they introduce and establish operational plans for responsibility structure diagrams."
