Seongdong-gu to Host Pet Festival "Play in Seongdong" on the 25th

Seongdong-gu in Seoul (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) will host the "2025 Seongdong-gu Pet Festival - Play in Seongdong" at the inline skating rink in Salgoji Sports Park on October 25.

Last year, at the "2nd Seongdong-gu Pet Festival," certificates of commendation and honorary public officer appointment certificates for companion dogs were awarded. Provided by Seongdong-gu.

Now in its third year, the festival will feature a variety of programs designed to help pet families connect and enjoy together, while promoting a mature pet culture.

Pre-events include the "Pet Karaoke," where guardians sing and bond with their pets, and the "Pet Food Fighter," where dogs compete to eat prepared snacks as quickly as possible and return. The main event will offer interactive programs such as the "Pet Family Fashion Show," where families walk the runway with their pets, as well as dog-carrying limbo, a pet sports day, a "Wait" game, and a Pet Etiquette OX Quiz.

Throughout the venue, experience booths will be available for promoting animal adoption, one-on-one pet health and behavior consultations, basic hygiene and grooming experiences, caricatures and face painting, and four-cut photo booths for dogs. In cooperation with the Seoul Animal Welfare Support Center, on-site adoption consultations and promotional activities will also take place.

Additional offerings include one-on-one pet health and behavior consultations with medical staff from 24-Hour Central Animal Medical Center, the creation of emergency medical cards for pets, a photo zone, and raffle draws, all aimed at providing practical support for residents. Reflecting feedback from last year's participants, Seongdong-gu has added more rest areas and shade structures, and expanded popular experience booths.

Jeong Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated, "This festival is a warm occasion for pets and their families to laugh, bond, and share their hearts together," adding, "We will continue to build Seongdong as a city where people and animals coexist in harmony."
