Experiencing Korean Companies: Dongmyung University College of Business Administration Launches 'International Student Corporate Exploration Program'

On October 15, the College of Business Administration at Dongmyung University conducted the "International Student Adaptation Support Program - Corporate Exploration" to strengthen international students' domestic employment capabilities and support their stable integration into society.

This program was held as part of the second semester’s settlement support activities, providing students with a direct industrial field experience through a visit to Blue Maritime, a company specializing in shipping and logistics.

The event was attended by Professor Chu Sunae, the supervising professor, and 15 international students from the College of Business Administration. Participants listened to explanations from company representatives about key work responsibilities, organizational structure, and global operational strategies, and toured the actual work environment. In addition, a Q&A session with the HR manager provided practical information on topics such as the recruitment process for foreigners, visa systems, and connections to on-site internships.

The participating students shared that "it was a meaningful opportunity to directly observe a corporate site and understand Korean corporate culture and industrial structure," and gave positive feedback, stating that the program "was of practical help in exploring career paths."

The College of Business Administration at Dongmyung University is currently operating a variety of customized support programs focusing on three pillars: language, emotional, and settlement support, to help international students have a stable university life and plan their careers. In the first semester, the college helped international students achieve emotional stability and a sense of belonging through a boarding experience program on the Saenuri-ho, an educational vessel operated by Busan Port Authority (BPA).

Going forward, the college plans to expand its offerings to include more practical programs such as industry-specific field experiences, internship connections, and employment consulting, thereby further enhancing international students’ competitiveness in the domestic job market.
