The Haeundae-gu Association for the Physically Disabled in Busan (Chairman Lee Kyunggu) announced on November 21 that it will hold the 'Dawonje (多溫祭)' One-Day Tea House, a warm sharing event, at the Sigma 0.3 Cafe in Haeundae-gu from November 22 to 30.

'Dawonje,' meaning 'a festival where much warmth gathers,' is designed as a local event for sharing, where people with and without disabilities come together in harmony.

The association plans to donate all proceeds from the event to the establishment fund for the Counseling and Education Center for the Physically Disabled and a lifelong education facility.

An association representative stated, "This one-day tea house is not just a fundraising event, but the first step toward creating a foundation where people with disabilities can pursue their own dreams," adding, "We hope that each cup of coffee or tea will come together to brighten someone's tomorrow."

During the event period, visitors can enjoy coffee and tea with association members and participate in discussion sessions to raise awareness about disabilities, as well as donation programs.

In particular, various local organizations and volunteers will join the association in this event, which is expected to serve as a turning point for the community to recognize people with disabilities not as 'recipients of help' but as 'neighbors living together.'

Based on the funds raised, the association plans to launch a preparatory committee for the 'Counseling and Education Center for the Physically Disabled' in the first half of 2026, and, in the long term, to operate a lifelong education facility for the physically disabled, offering vocational training, psychological counseling, and cultural programs.

The association representative said, "Sharing is not something grand, but rather staying together and opening our hearts," adding, "We hope this will become a warm festival where the entire community opens the path of learning and independence together with people with disabilities."
