Thorough Safety Inspections
for School Vehicles at 30 Kindergartens, Elementary Schools, and Academies
On October 7, the Gumi Office of Education in North Gyeongsang Province (headed by Min Byungdo) conducted a joint inspection of children's school buses for the second half of the year at the Nakdong River Sports Park parking lot. The inspection covered 14 vehicles from 7 kindergartens and elementary schools, as well as 23 vehicles from 23 private academies.
This inspection was carried out jointly with the cooperation of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority and Gumi Police Station, effectively checking the condition of children's school buses.
The main inspection items included compliance with regulations on vehicle structure and equipment, submission of safe driving records, and whether safety training for accompanying personnel had been completed and whether they were present on board.

Additionally, the Gumi Office of Education plans to provide regular guidance, supervision, and inspections to kindergartens, schools, and academies to ensure that regulations related to school vehicles are strictly followed, aiming for the safe operation of children's school buses.
Min Byungdo, head of the Gumi Office of Education, stated, "Through joint inspections with related agencies, we expect to conduct comprehensive safety checks on vehicles and prevent accidents involving children's school buses in advance. We will pay close attention to even the smallest details and work harder to create a safe and trustworthy transportation environment for students and parents."
