The Festival Committee of Member 2-dong in Masan Hoewon-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, successfully held the '10th Member-dong Hanmaeum Grand Festival' at Hoeweon Elementary School on the 19th, with approximately 1,500 residents participating.
This biennial festival aims to promote unity and communication among Member-dong residents, featuring a variety of programs that transcend generations and social classes, and received an enthusiastic response.
The pre-ceremony events included a pungmul (traditional Korean percussion) performance, a taekwondo demonstration, and a spoon nanta (percussion) performance, creating a lively atmosphere. Various other programs were also held, drawing great enthusiasm from attendees.
The opening ceremony began with an address by Festival Committee Chairman Park Haecheol, followed by the attendance of National Assemblyman Yoon Hanhong, Masan Hoewon-gu District Chief Je Jongnam, as well as provincial and city council members, who graced the occasion. The community singing contest that followed provided residents with a meaningful time together.
Festival Committee Chairman Park Haecheol stated, "We have prepared a diverse array of programs that all Member-dong residents can enjoy together," adding, "I hope this festival deepens unity and communication among residents."
Masan Hoewon-gu District Chief Je Jongnam expressed, "I would like to thank everyone who worked hard to prepare this event," and added, "We will continue to make Masan Hoewon-gu a better place to live by fostering resident unity and improving living conditions."
