Yongsan District in Seoul (Mayor Park Heeyoung) held the "2025 Yongsan District Happy Walking Festival for People with and without Disabilities" at the Turtle Soccer Field in Ichon Hangang Park on the 17th.

The event was hosted and organized by the Yongsan Welfare Center for the Disabled, with sponsorship from Yongsan District, Shinhan Investment Corp., Orion Foundation, and others. Over 500 residents attended, including Mayor Park Heeyoung, National Assemblyman Kwon Youngse, and Kim Sungcheol, Chairperson of the Yongsan District Council. The event provided a time of unity where people with and without disabilities came together in harmony.
At the venue, 18 experience booths were set up, including keyring making, sock yarn crafts, and mini air freshener making, which received an enthusiastic response from participants. The atmosphere was further enlivened by performances from the Sookmyung Women’s University cheerleading team, a military band, singer Jo Hyeryeong, and the Yongsan Happy Independence Center pole dance team.
Mayor Park Heeyoung stated, “Now in its fourth year, this event is a meaningful festival that strengthens the solidarity of Yongsan residents,” and added, “We will continue to build a premium Yongsan where everyone can laugh together, transcending the boundaries between people with and without disabilities.”
