"Beyond Boundaries"... Yeongju City Participates in the 52nd Los Angeles Korean Festival, Promotes Local Agricultural Specialties in the U.S.

Showcasing 25 Products Including Punggi Ginseng and Honey
Enhancing Global Recognition of the Yeongju Brand

Yeongju City in North Gyeongsang Province announced that it is participating in the 52nd Los Angeles Korean Festival, which is being held for four days from October 16 to 19 (local time), to showcase its leading local agricultural specialties in the United States.


With the theme "Beyond Boundaries," this year's festival is the largest in its history. Yeongju City is promoting a rich variety of food and healthy Korean flavors through the participation of a total of nine local companies.

The participating companies include Punggi Ginseng Corporation Agricultural Cooperative, Sobaeksan Arae, Sobaeksan Namukkun Beolkkul, Nadri Food, Really Global, Punggi Specialty Agricultural Cooperative, Punggi Ginseng Agricultural Cooperative, Rasam Agricultural Corporation, and Sobaek Ginseng Agricultural Cooperative. A total of 25 different products are being showcased, with the total scale reaching 110,000 dollars (approximately 150 million won).

The participating companies are presenting a diverse range of specialties, such as red ginseng, honey, fruit jams, chewy noodles, and seaweed snacks, attracting significant attention from local visitors. Centered around 'Punggi Ginseng and Red Ginseng,' which are synonymous with Korean ginseng, they are introducing health foods and traditional delicacies, widely promoting the excellence of Korean agricultural specialties and the reliability of the 'Yeongju brand' to both the Korean American community and local consumers.


Yeongju City expects that this participation will help expand distribution channels in the U.S. market, strengthen the foundation for exports, and enhance exchanges with the Korean American community in Los Angeles.


Han Sang-sook, Director of the Yeongju Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "We hope that Yeongju's representative agricultural specialties will become widely known to Korean Americans and local consumers through this festival," adding, "We will continue our efforts to introduce Korea's leading health foods and outstanding agricultural specialties to the world."


The Los Angeles Korean Festival is the largest cultural festival for the Korean American community in the United States, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. It has established itself as a representative event where people can enjoy Korean cuisine, performances, and exhibitions, and experience Korean culture.
