10 Startups, Venture Investors, and Support Organizations to Participate
Rising Expectations for Investment Attraction
Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Donghwan) announced on October 17 that it will hold the startup audition event, "2025 Second Half Goyang IR Day," at the Kawaji Grand Auditorium in Ilsanseo District Office on October 30.
This event is designed to serve as a platform for promising startups, investors, and startup support organizations to connect, offering various opportunities such as investment attraction, business partnership building, and expanded networking for startups.
The city began recruiting startups for Goyang IR Day on August 25. A total of 47 companies applied, and after a first-round document screening and a second-round presentation evaluation, 10 companies were ultimately selected.
The selected startups received expert mentoring to attract investment and are scheduled to deliver passionate pitches about their innovative products and services at IR Day.
The presentations and investment evaluations on the day of the event will be conducted by 10 venture investors and startup planners, including the operators of the Goyang Youth Startup Fund and the Goyang Venture Fund.
A city official stated, "Build Corporation (CEO Lee Junho), which won the Growth Award at the first half competition, successfully attracted investment," adding, "We hope that this event will also lead to successful investments through valuable communication between outstanding startups and investors."
