Ten Local Aerospace and Defense Companies to Participate
Free Admission for Citizens and Seongnam Mission Tour to Be Held
Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor: Shin Sang-jin) will operate a joint corporate pavilion for the first time at the 'Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition (Seoul ADEX 2025 in Seongnam),' which will be held from October 20 to 24 at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.
'Seoul ADEX 2025' is the largest aerospace and defense industry exhibition in Korea. This year, it will be held for eight days from October 17 to 24 at Seoul Airport and KINTEX. From October 17 to 19, 'Public Days' will take place at Seoul Airport, while from October 20 to 24, 'Business Days' will be held at KINTEX. Over 600 companies from 35 countries around the world are expected to participate, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and products in the aerospace and defense sectors.
The Seongnam City joint corporate pavilion will be set up in Exhibition Hall 2 at KINTEX during the 'Business Days,' with 10 Seongnam-based aerospace and defense companies participating. They will present advanced technology products such as ultrasonic protection systems, fall-protection airbags, and simulated shooting systems. Seongnam City will fully cover both the exhibition participation fees and booth rental costs. During the exhibition, participating companies will seek opportunities to expand into domestic and international markets through a variety of business programs, including B2B meetings, export consultations, technology seminars, and investment presentations.
Excluding the case of Sacheon City, which has hosted the Sacheon Airshow and Sacheon Aerospace Expo since 2004, this Seongnam City joint corporate pavilion is considered the first and largest (in terms of participating companies) exhibition pavilion organized by a basic local government.
Meanwhile, on the opening day, October 17, which is the first 'Public Day,' Seongnam citizens will be granted free admission at the Seoul Airport event venue. Citizens can register in advance on the pre-registration website and present their personal QR code along with an ID showing their Seongnam address on the day of the event for free entry. Those who have not pre-registered can also enter by verifying their ID on-site on the day of the event.
At the Seoul Airport venue, a variety of programs will be offered, including outdoor exhibitions, air shows, aerospace experience events, drone experience zones, military band and honor guard performances, and taekwondo demonstrations. Seongnam City will also operate the 'Seongnam Mission Tour' program to boost the local economy. Seoul ADEX participants who spend 50,000 won or more at restaurants, cafes, or shops in Seongnam will receive a 10,000-won Seongnam Love Gift Certificate (mobile), with participation limited to the first 2,000 people. For more details, please refer to the 'Seoul ADEX website - Seongnam Mission Tour' section.
A Seongnam City official stated, "This year's Seoul ADEX is an important exhibition to showcase the advanced technological capabilities of Seongnam-based companies, and it is a meaningful opportunity for citizens to participate and invigorate the local economy. We hope that this participation will lead to expanded business opportunities for local companies and the revitalization of the local commercial district."
