Hwaseong City Selects Eight Outstanding Cases of Proactive Administration, Including "Building a Financial Safety Net for Small Business Owners"

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province held its second half proactive administration best practice competition on the 16th, selecting eight outstanding cases.


The cases selected this time were chosen from among 29 submissions received by the city, reflecting the results of the first and second round of reviews as well as a resident survey.

At this competition, the top prize went to the Regional Economy Division (Administrative Officer Bang Jaepil) for the case titled "Eliminating Financial Blind Spots! Building an Inclusive Financial Safety Net in Hwaseong City to Support All Small Business Owners with the Nation's Lowest Interest Rates."


The excellence awards were given to: ▲The Transportation and Construction Division of the Eastern Branch Office (Team Leader Kim Junghwan) for "Transforming Villages into Livable Communities by Addressing Environmental Pollution through a Public-Private Monitoring System," and ▲The Child-Friendly Division (Team Leader Ko Yangsuk) for "Preparing for the Future Together: The Yeonjigonji Marriage Promotion Matching Account."


The encouragement awards were presented to: ▲The Forest Recreation Division (Administrative Officer Park Jiyoung) for "Reviving Discarded Forestry By-products as Resources to Contribute to Efficient Administration and Carbon Neutrality," and ▲The Health Promotion Division at the Western Public Health Center (Administrative Officer Oh Seunghyun) for "Developing a Next-Generation Virtuous Cycle Health Promotion Model."


Among public institutions, the Hwaseong Environmental Foundation (Director Lee Seongwoo) received the top award for "Becoming a Hub for Early Childhood Climate and Environmental Education in Hwaseong City through Proactive Administration."


The excellence award went to: ▲Hwaseong Research Institute (Researcher Jo Jinsuk) for "Establishing the First Local Government-Academic-Research Cooperation, Innovation, and Diffusion Model: Stringing Together Data Beads to Create a Necklace of Administrative Innovation," and the encouragement award went to: ▲Hwaseong Urban Corporation (Director Seo Jiweon) for "Establishing a Preemptive Response System for Electric Vehicle Fires with an Advanced Fire Detection System."


Jung Guwon, First Deputy Mayor of Hwaseong City, stated, "We will do our utmost to ensure that Hwaseong City officials can further move beyond convention and practice proactive administration by solving problems actively and creatively."
