At approximately 8:37 a.m. on October 16, a mobile bath truck traveling on a two-lane national road in front of a gas station in Hadong-eup, Hadong County, South Gyeongsang Province, collided with a 1-ton cargo truck that was driving ahead of it.

As a result of the accident, the mobile bath truck plunged 5 meters down to the riverbank on the right side of the road, while the cargo truck crashed into a retaining wall on the left and came to a stop.

A woman in her 40s, identified as A, who was an employee at a local self-sufficiency center and was seated in the passenger seat of the mobile bath truck, was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest but ultimately passed away.

The driver of the mobile bath truck, a man in his 60s identified as B, another passenger, a woman in her 50s identified as C, and the driver of the cargo truck, a man in his 60s identified as D, all sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital.

The police believe that the accident occurred when the mobile bath truck was attempting to overtake by crossing the center line, and while trying to return to its original lane after spotting an oncoming vehicle, caused the collision. Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the accident by analyzing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and other evidence.
