Since opening in 2015, 'Huedream Cafe' has grown into a leading model for senior employment in Taebaek City, providing a joyful and lively workplace for seniors and a comfortable rest area for city hall employees and citizens.
Currently, four seniors work at the cafe, handling a variety of tasks such as coffee preparation and sales, as well as store management. The participating seniors shared, "We feel a great sense of fulfillment every time we see customers smile while we brew coffee."
A Taebaek City official stated, "We are grateful to the seniors who have brought happiness to everyone visiting the cafe with their warmth and dedication over the past 10 years," and added, "We will continue to expand diverse job opportunities so that seniors can enjoy an active and rewarding later life."
Meanwhile, 'Huedream Cafe' continues to be loved by citizens and employees visiting Taebaek City Hall as "a place that warms the heart with a delicious cup of coffee," and has become a symbol of communication and harmony within the city hall.
