A Beautiful Partnership
Including Mutual Visits to Major Local Festivals
The Chilgok County Saemaeul Association (President Woo Chunggi) held a Yeonghonam harmony event with the Wanju County Saemaeul Association at the Humanities Hall of the Education and Culture Center on the 15th.
Since forming a sisterhood relationship in 1999, Chilgok County and Wanju County have continued a beautiful partnership for 27 years, including mutual visits on County Residents’ Day and to major local festivals.
On this day, the Wanju County Saemaeul Association toured major attractions in Chilgok County, such as the National Defense Peace Memorial Hall and the Honeybee Theme Park, deepening their friendship through shared experiences.
Kim Jaewook, Governor of Chilgok County, said, "I hope that by considering ways to prosper together economically-such as utilizing our region’s specialty products like honey and melons, as well as Wanju County’s specialty, ginger-the partnership with Wanju County, which has continued until now, will move forward even more energetically. The county will also make great efforts to ensure that this beautiful journey with Wanju County continues."
