The Gwangju Employers Federation (hereinafter referred to as the Gwangju EF) announced on October 16 that it will hold an 'Industrial Accident Response Strategy Seminar' on October 22 for human resources, labor, and safety management officers and practitioners from its member companies.
This seminar has been organized to provide practical assistance to member companies in establishing industrial safety and health systems and minimizing legal risks, in response to heightened public awareness regarding recent serious industrial accidents.
The seminar will consist of two parts. The first part, under the theme 'Introduction to Corporate Support Programs by Related Organizations,' will present a variety of government and university-linked support programs available to local companies.
Latest information that can directly benefit business management will be provided, including: ▲Talent development and vocational high school student employment support programs from Chosun University’s Office of Educational Innovation ▲Employment crisis area employment incentives and foreign worker employment and management measures from the Gwangju Employment and Labor Office.
The second part will feature a special lecture by certified labor attorney Lee Doohyeong (Shinmyeong Labor Law Firm) on 'Standards for Recognizing Work-Related Accidents and Practical Response.' Lee is an expert who has conducted lectures on the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Act and industrial safety and health practices for numerous companies, including Samsung Electronics and KEPCO MCS.
This special lecture will cover key practical topics, including: ▲Standards and procedures for recognizing work-related accidents ▲Corporate response procedures in the event of an accident ▲Compensation and post-management.
Yang Jinseok, Chairman of the Gwangju EF, stated, "This seminar will be an important opportunity for local companies to make full use of valuable support programs and, at the same time, to strengthen their capabilities to systematically respond and minimize confusion in the event of serious accidents. We will continue to provide the necessary support to help our member companies grow and develop, and to create safer workplaces."
