Gwangju Dong-gu District announced on October 16 that Hyunseon Park, Director of the Dong-gu Integrated Addiction Management Support Center, received a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare at the '2025 Mental Health Day' ceremony.

This commendation is awarded to individuals who have made dedicated contributions in the field of mental health. Director Park was selected as a recipient in recognition of her efforts to actively intervene in and establish a support system for addressing addiction issues within the local community.

Director Park has worked for many years at the Integrated Addiction Management Support Center, leading addiction prevention education for residents, support programs for those in recovery, and the establishment of collaborative networks with local organizations. She has continuously provided case management focused on practical support, helping individuals struggling with addiction find hope for recovery and rebuild their lives within the community.

Director Park stated, "This award is not for me alone, but for the community and colleagues who have worked together toward recovery," adding, "I will continue to do my best so that those suffering from addiction can regain their lives."
