A Woman Gains Attention for Earning Millions of Won Each Month
Through Unconventional Content

This is an era where it is difficult to cover living expenses with just a primary job. The "side hustle" market is rapidly expanding, especially among younger generations. In particular, new forms of supplementary income models based on online platforms are drawing attention. Recently, a woman in her twenties from Canada has become a hot topic after revealing that she earns several million won each month in extra income through unique content.

According to Australian media outlet News.com on October 14 (local time), Avalon Saf, a 23-year-old from Toronto, Canada, is active on a content platform under the name "Lana." Instead of typical photos and videos, she creates unusual content in the form of "fart sound videos."

Saf has carved out a niche market with this unique idea and is earning a considerable side income. In a podcast interview, she said, "I once received 200 dollars (about 280,000 won) for a single video of me just farting in front of the camera." She added, "Of course, there was no smell, it was just a video with sound."

Currently, Saf is earning about 3,000 dollars (approximately 4.5 million won) per week, and even after deducting platform fees, she maintains a stable supplementary income. It is reported that she maximizes her earnings by making direct transactions with some fans outside the platform.

Interestingly, the origin of this idea was her boyfriend, Ryan. Ryan explained, "Lana's farts were really intense. As a joke, I used to say, 'You should make money with this.' Eventually, we actually started doing it."

As the online content market becomes saturated, unique and differentiated content is emerging as a new trend. Experts say, "We are living in an era where unique concepts and ideas themselves become assets," and add, "Unconventional content can become a lucrative side hustle."
