This special lecture was organized by the Gyeongnam Information University Technical Master Training Project Group. Alumni Jeong Seongyong and Shin Jiyong, who were in the first graduating class of the Department of Semiconductors and are currently employed at the semiconductor specialist company Stats ChipPAC Korea, participated as lecturers.

About 50 people attended the event, including current students of the Department of Semiconductors at Gyeongnam Information University and second- and third-year students from Gyeongseong Electronics High School.

On this day, the two graduates shared vivid stories from their time as university students, their job search process, and their current work operating and maintaining semiconductor equipment in the industry. The practical, work-focused content of the lecture provided substantial help to their juniors in exploring career paths and was met with an enthusiastic response.

During the following Q&A session, a variety of questions were raised on topics such as job competency, welfare, promotion systems, and industry outlook. The lecturers offered realistic and sincere advice based on their own experiences, helping students address their career concerns.

Kim Younggeun, a third-year student at Gyeongseong Electronics High School who attended the special lecture, said, "I only had a vague interest in the semiconductor industry, but after hearing real stories from the field, I was able to set a concrete career direction. I want to enroll in the Department of Semiconductor Electronics at Gyeongnam Information University and grow into an on-site expert."

Yeo Minwoo, head of the Technical Master Training Project Group, said, "It was a meaningful time for graduates active in the field to directly share their know-how with their juniors. We will expand industry-linked practical lectures so that students can better understand the industrial field and grow into professional talent."
