"Answers Lie in the Field"
County Administration Guided by Residents' Voices
Bonghwa County, led by Governor Park Hyunguk, is implementing a communication-centered administration by operating the "On-site Open Governor's Office," which seeks direct answers in the daily lives of residents.
Park Hyunguk, the governor of Bonghwa County, is visiting Mulya-myeon to directly listen to and respond to the voices of the residents on site.
On October 14, the county held an on-site governor's office in the Gaedan-ri area of Mulya-myeon, listening to local issues and everyday inconveniences together with residents.
On this day, Governor Park Hyunguk visited Gaedan 3-ri, Gaedan 2-ri, Gaedan 1-ri, and Chukseosa in succession, engaging in in-depth conversations with village leaders, Saemaul leaders, women's association presidents, senior center heads, and other resident representatives.
At the site, residents raised issues closely related to daily life, including ▲ road maintenance and improvement of village infrastructure, ▲ expansion of agricultural support, and ▲ strengthening welfare for the elderly.
In response, Governor Park stated, "The voices of our residents are the compass of county administration," and added, "We will realize practical administration by directly listening, observing, and resolving issues on site, rather than relying on desk-bound policies."
In addition, an inspection of the response system for disaster prevention and resident safety in response to abnormal climate conditions was also conducted.
The county provided residents with guidelines on everyday safety precautions, emphasizing proactive safety administration to address the era of climate crisis.
The opinions collected from residents during this open governor's office will be actively reflected in county administration after review and working-level consultations with relevant departments.
Going forward, Bonghwa County plans to continue its "field-centered administration," touring each town and township to turn resident feedback into policy.
The "On-site Open Governor's Office" has established itself as Bonghwa County's unique communication-oriented administrative model, which goes beyond simply listening to complaints and sets the direction of administration on site.
Attention is focused on whether Governor Park Hyunguk's emphasis on "administration in the field" will lead to policies that residents can truly feel.
