Practical Training for 55 Enumerators
Online Survey Begins on October 22
Muan County, South Jeolla Province, announced on October 15 that it conducted on-site training for enumerators and reserve enumerators over two days starting from October 14 to ensure the smooth implementation of the 2025 Population and Housing Census.
A total of 50 enumerators and 5 reserve enumerators participated in this training, which focused on practical programs such as survey items and procedures, tablet PC usage, case-based exercises, and on-site safety manuals. Through this, the county enhanced the field response capabilities of its enumerators.
The Population and Housing Census is a national statistical survey conducted every five years to assess the status of the population, households, and housing. The collected data is used as a foundation for national policy and regional development plans. Online and telephone surveys will be conducted from October 22 to 31, and for households that do not respond, on-site surveys will take place from November 1 to 18.
The county's survey targets all domestic and foreign residents and dwellings within 20% of the sample enumeration districts in the area, covering a total of 42 items, including marriage plans and family care time.
Kim San, the county governor, stated, "The Population and Housing Census is a crucial survey that forms the basis for establishing regional policies," and added, "We ask for the active participation of all residents to ensure the production of accurate statistics."
