Until April 30 Next Year
For Children, Pregnant Women, and Seniors Aged 65 and Older
Jangsu County in North Jeolla Province will administer influenza (flu) and COVID-19 vaccinations from October 15, 2025, to April 30, 2026, in order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases during the winter season.
The free flu vaccination is available to children aged 6 months to 13 years, pregnant women, and seniors aged 65 and older. Vaccinations begin on October 15, 2025.
This vaccination program also provides free shots at local public health institutions for vulnerable groups residing in Jangsu County, including seniors aged 60 to 64, basic livelihood security recipients, those in the second-lowest income bracket, national merit recipients, people with disabilities, and marriage immigrants, starting from October 27, 2025.
For Jangsu County residents who wish to receive a paid flu vaccination, a partial subsidy will be provided, allowing them to get vaccinated for a fee of 10,000 won. Free COVID-19 vaccinations will be offered to seniors aged 65 and older, immunocompromised individuals, and residents of high-risk facilities.
Seniors aged 65 and older can receive both the flu and COVID-19 vaccines simultaneously at the Jangsu County Public Health Center and designated medical institutions. The vaccines will be administered in different areas of the body to ensure safety.
Vaccinations are available at seven designated medical institutions in the region, as well as at the Jangsu County Public Health Center, Janggye-myeon Health Living Support Center, local health branches, and health clinics. The list of designated medical institutions can be found on the Vaccination Helper website.
The Jangsu County Public Health Center will operate an intensive flu vaccination period from October 27 to 31, 2025, for five days, and the Janggye-myeon Health Living Support Center will do so for two days from October 22 to 23, 2025. For more details, please contact the vaccination office at the Jangsu County Public Health Center.
County Governor Choi Hunsik stated, "As the possibility of a simultaneous outbreak of flu and COVID-19 increases, concurrent vaccination is the most effective way to protect the health of our residents. I hope that all residents will get vaccinated to stay healthy and prepare for the spread of infectious diseases this winter."
