The Changwon Christian Council of Special City, Gyeongnam, participated in the Changwon City Happy Community Relay Campaign on October 13.
The Happy Community Relay Campaign, initiated by Changwon City, aims to spread positive perceptions of marriage, childbirth, and parenting, and to overcome the phenomenon of low birth rates.
On this day, the Changwon Christian Council set its campaign pledge as: "Life given by God, the most precious gift! Happy births, a secure future-Christianity will join together," and took part as a campaign runner.

The pledge reflects the intention to view life as a blessing from God, to welcome the birth of new life with joy, and to create a society where families are respected.
The Changwon Christian Council originated in 2012 when the Christian councils of the former Changwon, Masan, and Jinhae cities were merged following the integration of these regions. It initially began as the Changwon Christian Council and adopted its current name through a general assembly in 2022.
Currently, the council supports various activities of churches within the unified Changwon City and is also involved in helping local residents, such as through sharing rice and donating funds of love.
In particular, the council has been delivering the value of life by providing congratulatory funds to families with newborns and has been leading the spread of family-friendly culture as a faith community.
Lee Byungkwon, Senior Vice President of the Changwon Christian Council, stated, "Life is the most precious mission entrusted to us by God," and added, "The church will take the lead in respecting life and spreading a culture that celebrates the birth of children throughout the community."
Kim Manki, Population Policy Officer, said, "Life is a precious value that everyone must protect together," and added, "We will actively pursue policies to create a social environment where children and families can be happy."
