The Jeonnam Provincial Council held a customized job training session on the 13th at Choui Room for policy support officers and staff, focusing on "Understanding the Public Official Election Act and Practical Cases," ahead of the local elections scheduled for June 3 next year. This is the second session this year, following the one held in the first half.
The training covered practical topics such as the 2026 local election-related administrative schedule and key issues, as well as the prohibition of preliminary election campaigning and actual cases of violations.
In particular, the session was conducted with a focus on real-life examples to help policy support officers assist assembly members in their lawful legislative activities while minimizing the risk of violating the Public Official Election Act.
Kim Taekyun, Chairperson of the Provincial Council, stated, "I hope that policy support officers and staff will use this training to deepen their understanding of the Public Official Election Act, reduce unnecessary misunderstandings and anxiety, and strengthen their ability to stably support assembly members in their legislative activities."
The council plans to continue regular training sessions and workshops to further enhance the expertise and practical skills of policy support officers, meticulously support legislative activities for residents, and devote all efforts to building a 'high-performing council and a rewarding workplace at the Jeonnam Provincial Council.'
