Wando County in Jeollanam-do will host the "2025 Clean Wando Autumn Island Travel" event from October 24 to 26 at the Wando Beach Park and Marine Healing Center area.
Under the theme "Healed on Wando Island, Came to Wando Island," the event will feature a variety of programs utilizing Wando's unique resources, such as its pristine natural environment and marine healing offerings.

The opening celebration performance on the first day at 5 p.m. will feature singers Kim Heejae, Lyn, Hwang Chiyeul, and Seo Joogyeong, who will enhance the festival atmosphere. Prior to this, band and dance performances by local daycare centers and middle and high school students are also scheduled.
At the event venue, visitors can sample and purchase Wando specialties such as grilled abalone with butter. There will also be a promotional booth for the "2026 Pre-Wando International Seaweed Expo" and a marine healing exhibition. Traditional activities, including rice cake and dalgona making and plate spinning, will also be available for hands-on experience.
There will be a KidZania experience booth for children and family visitors. In addition to a beauty salon, CSI forensic science, and dental experiences, there will be magic and bubble shows, personal color diagnosis, and an immersive experience based on the Wando Holly Tree fairy tale. Island-linked programs include the Cheongsan-myeon Milky Way Tour, barefoot walking on the Sinheung Beach, and a "doing nothing" experience on Saengil-myeon.
From the first day of the event until November 16, 40,000 chrysanthemums will be displayed around Wando Beach Park, Marine Healing Center, and Wando Tower, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the autumn atmosphere. From October 24 to November 16, 40,000 chrysanthemums will be exhibited at Wando Beach Park, Marine Healing Center, and Wando Tower, adding to the seasonal ambiance.
On October 25, the "2nd Myeongsashimni Healing Barefoot Walking Festival," organized by the Wando County Marine Industry Social Cooperative, will take place. During the event period, the Wando Arboretum will host the "Green Forest Festival" and the "Autumn Reading Culture Healing Festival." The "Nampalang-gil," a premium trekking course that combines Wando's blue sea, forest trails, and island scenery, is also gaining attention as a unique healing route for tourists.
County Governor Shin Woochul stated, "Wando is an ideal place to heal both body and mind, utilizing its pristine nature and unique marine healing resources. In this perfect season for travel, I invite everyone to visit Wando, the only healing island in the country."
