A Variety of Programs to Foster K-Beauty Talent
Suncheon City, South Jeolla Province, announced on the 13th that it will hold the '2025 Suncheon Beauty Festa' at the Suncheonman Ecological Culture Education Center on the 18th.
This program is hosted by Suncheon City and organized by the Suncheon branch of the Jeonnam chapter of the Korea Association of Skin Beauty Professionals.
The event has been prepared to introduce Suncheon-style K-Beauty culture, vitalize the industry, and foster local beauty talent. The program will begin with an opening ceremony at 9 a.m., followed by a beauty competition, beauty runway, industry exhibition, experience booths, and hygiene education.
The beauty competition will be held for local beauty professionals and students, divided into general and student divisions across 22 categories in five fields: skin, hair, nails, eyelash extensions, and makeup. Outstanding participants will be recognized with awards such as the Jeonnam Governor’s Award and the Suncheon Mayor’s Award.
Notably, this year’s event, under the theme of 'Suncheon-style K-Beauty,' will also be attended by international beauty professionals, including those from China, to widely promote Suncheon’s excellence and technological prowess in beauty.
A city official stated, "The beauty industry is not just about grooming but is a promising field that requires creative and highly skilled professionals. Suncheon City will provide various forms of support to help lead K-Beauty and foster further growth."
