Bonus Provided to All Employees, Including Contract Workers
CEO Woo Junyeol: "Hope This Becomes a Driving Force for Our Shared Growth"
Modetour announced on the 13th that it provided a special incentive bonus totaling approximately 2 billion KRW to all employees on the 1st of this month.
The company explained that the incentive bonus was prepared to express gratitude to all employees, including contract workers, for their dedicated efforts throughout the year despite the travel industry's uncertain internal and external factors.
This year, the travel market has continued to face a challenging environment due to various negative factors such as the economic downturn, global geopolitical variables, and exchange rate fluctuations.
The company stated, "The payment of this incentive bonus is intended to signify our commitment to overcoming future challenges together," adding, "We aim to boost employee morale and further unite our efforts for the upcoming winter peak season and next year's business performance."
Woo Junyeol, CEO of Modetour, said, "I sincerely thank all employees for doing their best in their roles despite difficult domestic and international economic conditions and the rapidly changing business environment," adding, "I hope that this small gesture will provide warmth and strength, and contribute to the shared journey of the company and its employees."
Meanwhile, according to financial information provider FnGuide, Modetour's sales in the third quarter of this year are expected to reach 46 billion KRW, a 29.5% decrease compared to the same period last year. Operating profit is also projected to be only 1 billion KRW, down 36.7%.
However, sales in the fourth quarter, which is the peak season, are expected to increase by 62.6% year-on-year to 90 billion KRW, with operating profit also rising by 306.7% to 8 billion KRW. Due to this strong performance in the fourth quarter, the company's full-year results are estimated to show sales of 248.5 billion KRW, a 1.2% decrease from last year, but operating profit is expected to reach 22.1 billion KRW, a 375.1% increase compared to last year's 4.7 billion KRW.
