A Platform for Discussing the Advanced Knowledge Industry Ecosystem
A platform will be established in Chuncheon to explore the potential for convergence between the city’s bioindustry and next-generation core sectors such as artificial intelligence and quantum technology.
Chuncheon City, Gangwon Province (Mayor Yuk Donghan), will host the “Chuncheon Bioindustry Great Transformation Symposium: AI·Quantum Convergence Innovation” at 2 p.m. on October 14 in the main conference hall on the first floor of the Chuncheon ICT Venture Center. Through this symposium, the city aims to prepare for a major transformation in the bioindustry and seek practical strategies to become a leading city in advanced convergence industries.
The symposium is designed to explore the possibilities of convergence between the bioindustry and next-generation core sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum technology, and to present future growth strategies for Chuncheon. In particular, it holds significant meaning as a venue where industry, academia, research institutes, and government come together to foster collaboration linking advanced technologies with regional strategic industries.
The event will feature a keynote speech by Choi Yanghee, President of Hallym University, thematic presentations by leading domestic companies and research teams (Norma, JNPMEDI, Celltrion, Sogang University, MaumAI), and a comprehensive panel discussion involving 10 experts, chaired by the President of the Gangwon Information and Culture Promotion Agency.
During the comprehensive discussion, participants will delve into the direction of convergence among the AI, quantum, and bio industries, trends in technological development and policy, and strategies for establishing an advanced knowledge industry ecosystem in Chuncheon. A city official emphasized, “AI, quantum, and bio industries are regarded as next-generation game changers,” adding, “This symposium will serve as a new milestone for Chuncheon to become a truly innovative and leading city.”
