The final nationwide academic assessment before the 2026 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) will be held on October 14.
The Gyeongnam Office of Education announced on October 10 that a total of 81,453 students from 158 high schools in the province are scheduled to participate in this October assessment, which targets all first to third-year high school students nationwide.
By grade, 26,645 are first-year students, 26,795 are second-year students, and 28,013 are third-year students.
Nationwide, it is expected that 6,276,737 students from 1,861 schools will take the test.
This test was jointly prepared by the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (for first and second-year students) and the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education (for third-year students).
Second and third-year high school students will take tests in all subjects-Korean, mathematics, English, Korean history, inquiry (social studies, science, vocational studies), and a second foreign language/Chinese characters-from 8:40 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. on the day of the exam.
First-year students will answer questions in Korean, mathematics, English, Korean history, integrated social studies, and integrated science from 8:40 a.m. to 5:10 p.m. on the same day.
Second and third-year students may choose to take any subject in the inquiry (social studies, science, vocational studies) and second foreign language/Chinese characters sections, except for "Vietnamese I" and "Arabic I."
Third-year students must take the Korean history section, just as in the CSAT, and those who do not take it will not receive their score reports.
Answer keys and explanations will be distributed to students after the assessment is fully completed.
Individual results can be checked and printed directly by students online through the nationwide test integrated information system from 10:00 a.m. on October 29 until 5:00 p.m. on November 12.
Lee Ilman, Director of Career Education, stated, "This test provides third-year students with a final opportunity to check their academic progress before the 2026 CSAT. I hope students participate as if it were the real exam to improve their adaptability to the CSAT."
