Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced that, in celebration of the 20th Pregnant Women's Day (October 10), it will operate the 'Enjoy Walking and Leave Supportive Comments for Pregnant Women's Day' challenge for 15 days from October 10 to 24. The event aims to remind citizens of the value of pregnancy and childbirth and to promote public health.

This challenge was designed to encourage citizens to increase their physical activity through walking and to foster a social atmosphere of respect and support for pregnant women. Participation is available through the mobile app WalkON, and any Guri citizen can join.
Participants can check their step count through the WalkON app and take part in mission-based walking challenges, community activities based on their local area, and prize events.
The specific steps are as follows: ▲ Install the WalkON app ▲ Join Guri City's official community, 'Joyful Walking, Happier Healthy Living' ▲ Achieve 100,000 steps during the challenge period ▲ Post a supportive comment for Pregnant Women's Day and a verification photo on the official community board. Among those who complete the mission, 200 participants will be selected by lottery to receive mobile beverage coupons.
Mayor Baek Kyunghyun stated, "I hope this challenge will encourage citizens to make walking a part of their daily lives and help them maintain their health," adding, "Furthermore, I expect this to be an opportunity to share the preciousness of life and to spread a culture of respect for pregnant women."
