Motifs from Cultural Heritage... A Modern Take on Gyeongju's Beauty
Available Exclusively at the Gyeongju Hadong Branch and Official Online Store
Kolon FnC announced on October 10 that its contemporary performance golfwear brand WAAC will launch the "Gyeongju Edition," inspired by the ancient city of Gyeongju.
This edition features WAAC's unique graphics and Waki character, reinterpreting the serene beauty and historical heritage of Gyeongju. Iconic motifs representing Gyeongju, such as the Cheonmado (Heavenly Horse painting) from Cheonmachong, the Smile of Silla, and the gold crown, have been modernized into sophisticated performance golfwear and accessories.
The WAAC "Gyeongju Edition" consists of a total of 11 items, including short-sleeve T-shirts, long-sleeve T-shirts, ball markers, socks, driver covers, tee holders, scarves, and bucket hats. The "Crew Neck Short-Sleeve T-shirt" features embroidery inspired by the Smile of Silla and symbolic Gyeongju details on the back of the neck. The "Waki Crew Neck Top Long-Sleeve T-shirt" showcases an original design combining graphics inspired by the Cheonmado, the Waki character wearing a Silla crown, and Hanok architectural details. The scarf expresses Gyeongju's artistic sensibility with vibrant colors inspired by the Cheonmado, while the bucket hat features the gold crown Waki character, capturing the unique atmosphere of Gyeongju.
The Gyeongju Edition is a limited collection available exclusively at the WAAC Gyeongju Hadong branch and the official online store, enhancing its rarity and collectible value. The WAAC Gyeongju Hadong branch operates under a Hanok (traditional Korean house) concept, and during the edition's sales period, the store will be specially decorated to highlight both the ambiance of Gyeongju and WAAC's design sensibility. With the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit scheduled to be held in Gyeongju at the end of October, a time when the city is drawing international attention, this edition holds even greater significance.
A WAAC representative stated, "Gyeongju is a city where history and culture are alive. Through this edition, we have captured the region's sensibility and beauty in our own way. We hope this rare limited-edition collection will provide a special experience for customers visiting Gyeongju."
