During the Chuseok holiday and Hangeul Day, two people in their 60s who went to pick mushrooms in the mountains were safely rescued 15 hours after losing contact.
According to the Jinan Police Station and the North Jeolla Provincial Fire Department on October 10, a report was received at around 5:15 p.m. the previous day stating, "We have lost contact with two members of our group who went to pick mushrooms."
Two individuals in their 60s, including person A who resides in Daejeon, climbed a mountain in Jucheon-myeon, Jinan County together, but lost their way and also lost contact with the rest of their group.
The police and fire authorities conducted a search and found both individuals at around 8:40 a.m. on this day, 15 hours after the report was filed.
The fire authorities stated, "Both A and the other individual are in good health and have no health issues."
