On the morning of October 10, train operations on Seoul Subway Line 5 were delayed between Myeongil Station and Banghwa Station due to a train malfunction.
According to Seoul Metro, at around 6:31 a.m. that day, a malfunction caused a following train to be delayed by up to 47 minutes. The train intervals were also adjusted, causing inconvenience to commuters during rush hour.
The company had passengers disembark and moved the malfunctioning train to a spare track at Gil-dong Station for maintenance. The malfunctioning train has reportedly been fully serviced as of now.
