Choi Hwiyoung, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will visit the site of the friendly match between the South Korean and Brazilian men's national football teams, which will be held at Seoul World Cup Stadium on October 10.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that Minister Choi plans to encourage the South Korean squad and deliver words of support before the start of the match.

The national football team, led by head coach Hong Myungbo, will play a friendly against Brazil, a traditional football powerhouse ranked 6th in the FIFA rankings, starting at 8 p.m. on the same day.
South Korea, ranked 23rd in the FIFA rankings, has recorded 1 win and 7 losses in A-matches against Brazil. Most recently, South Korea lost 1-4 to Brazil in the Round of 16 at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Minister Choi stated, "I hope that this friendly match will serve as an opportunity to further enhance our national team's tactical proficiency in preparation for the 2026 North and Central America World Cup, which is approaching next year. I also hope our players will approach the match with confidence against the world-class football team, Brazil." He added, "In particular, as today is Hangeul Day, this match is even more meaningful since our players will be wearing uniforms with their names written in Hangeul, symbolizing the harmony of our culture and sports."
