"Pointed Out 'Dongtan Look,' Now Accused of Advances?... Lee Jun-seok Announces Legal Action Against Malicious Commenters"

Legal Action Also Announced

"Pointed Out 'Dongtan Look,' Now Accused of Advances?... Lee Jun-seok Announces Legal Action Against Malicious Commenters" Instagram post related to 'Dongtan Look' revealed by Representative Lee Jun-seok. Lee Jun-seok Facebook

Lee Jun-seok, leader of the Reform Party, has announced plans to take legal action against online users spreading false information. He explained that while he has left comments on social networking service (SNS) posts related to the "Dongtan Missy Look," which objectifies women in his constituency of Dongtan, to point out image distortion, some online users have spread false claims that "Lee Jun-seok is making advances toward women."

On October 9, Lee Jun-seok stated on his SNS, "Now, there are groups spreading false information as if I left comments somewhere to make advances toward women."

He mentioned that residents of Dongtan strongly dislike terms like "Dongtan Look" that distort the city's image or create stereotypes, adding, "Whenever I see absurd Instagram posts, I sometimes leave comments. My point is that there are no such people in Dongtan."

He further stated, "If there is a meme that disparages Dongtan moms, who are raising their children and living more diligently than in any other neighborhood, isn't it only natural for the local member of the National Assembly to point it out? Do not attempt such clumsy manipulation. Of course, since my comments were entirely appropriate, I did not delete them," adding that he would take legal measures.
