As of 12:00 p.m., 193 Systems Restored
The number of government administrative information systems that were suspended due to the fire at the National Information Resources Service (NIRS) has increased from 647 to 709, with 40 of them classified as first-grade core systems.
Yoon Hojung, Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, is presiding over the 10th Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters meeting related to the fire at the National Information Resources Service administrative information system on the 9th at the Situation Center of the Government Seoul Office in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
On October 9, the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH) announced that, following the restoration of the NIRS Integrated Operation Management System (N-TOPS), the total number of systems had risen to 709. By classification, there are 40 first-grade systems, 68 second-grade systems, 261 third-grade systems, and 340 fourth-grade systems. Government systems are graded based on factors such as impact on work, number of users, and level of influence.
As of 12:00 p.m. on the same day, 193 systems had been restored, including 25 out of the 40 first-grade core systems. The government also stated that it is continuing rapid restoration work on computer rooms and equipment that were damaged by the fire and dust.
