Jennie of Blackpink has unveiled a special Hangul font in collaboration with her agency to celebrate Hangul Day, capturing the beauty of the Korean script.
On October 9, OA Entertainment announced the free distribution of a new Hangul typeface called "Zen Serif." This font combines the traditional Western Blackletter style with Hangul, softening its rigid impression by adding gentle and flexible curves to create a unique aesthetic.
The "Zen Serif" font can be downloaded from the official OA Entertainment website and is also available for use in the Instagram short-form editing app "Edits." The agency noted that this is the first time a Hangul font has been registered in the "Edits" app.
OA Entertainment stated, "The 'Zen Serif' font was released to showcase the beauty of Hangul to the world," adding, "It is especially meaningful to launch this font in celebration of Hangul Day."
Jennie has previously demonstrated her special love and pride for Korea, notably by promoting Korean culture through her first full-length album track "Seoul City." She is also currently serving as an honorary ambassador for Seoul tourism.
