Park Chaea, Chair of the Education Committee of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Assembly (People Power Party, Gyeongsan), announced on October 5 that she has been honored with the Korea Autonomous Development Award in the category of metropolitan local council members at the 2025 Korea Autonomous Development Awards ceremony.
This awards ceremony, organized by the Korea Institute of Local Autonomy Development under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, recognizes local governments and local assemblies that have achieved outstanding results in various fields such as local autonomy, regional innovation, and educational autonomy. Assemblywoman Park was highly praised for her contributions to the innovative transformation of Gyeongbuk's education policies and the establishment of a foundation for educational autonomy.

Immediately after the closing of the 358th extraordinary session, the Gyeongbuk Provincial Assembly held a presentation ceremony presided over by Vice Chairman Choi Byungjun (acting chairman), where the award plaque was presented to Chair Park Chaea, and her contributions to the development of the assembly's education policies were celebrated.
Chair Park Chaea stated, "This achievement is the result of the collective efforts of my fellow assembly members and those in the education field who have worked together and deliberated for the sustainable future of education in Gyeongbuk," adding, "The essence of educational autonomy lies in fostering the growth of our children and building the future of our region together."
