The competition featured participation from 22 cities and counties in the province, as well as local public institutions. The final rankings were determined through a preliminary document review and a main presentation evaluation.
The case presented by Chilgok County was highly praised for establishing the first welfare hub in North Gyeongsang Province-the "Chilgok County Welfare Hub Center"-which identified welfare blind spots and provided resident-focused welfare services as an innovative model.
The Chilgok County Welfare Hub Center, which opened in July, has received a strong response from residents through services such as in-person counseling, outreach promotion, and cultural programs. The number of users has been steadily increasing.
Kim Jaeuk, Mayor of Chilgok County, stated, "By establishing the Welfare Hub Center, we have created a turning point, elevating the quality of local welfare services beyond a simple consultation window. We will continue to develop this into a model that can be expanded to other local governments in the future."
