Suspected Extreme Choice Near Central Government Complex in Jungang-dong
An official from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, who was in charge of overseeing the team responsible for the national computer network failure, died by suicide on October 3.
According to the government, at around 10:50 a.m. that day, official A from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety was found collapsed on the ground near the Central Government Complex in Eojin-dong, Sejong City.
Emergency responders who arrived at the scene handed over A, who was in cardiac arrest, to the police. It was confirmed that A had died.
It is presumed that A left their mobile phone at the smoking area on the south terrace of the 15th floor of the Central Government Complex and made an extreme choice.
