Holiday Break... Sejong City Announces Hospitals and Pharmacies Open During Chuseok

Sejong Chungnam National University Hospital and NK Sejong Hospital Emergency Rooms Open 24 Hours

Hospitals that will be open during this year's Chuseok holiday, which features an extended break, have been announced.

According to Sejong City, from October 3 to October 9, the Sejong Chungnam National University Hospital, a regional emergency medical center, and the NK Sejong Hospital, a regional emergency medical institution, will operate 24 hours a day as usual. The Well Kids Pediatric Clinic, designated as a Dalbit Children's Hospital, will also continue to provide regular medical services from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. throughout the holiday period.

In the northern region, the health center clinic in Jochiwon-eup, as well as four health clinics-Wachon, Ssangnyu, Songhak, and Songgok-will operate on a rotating basis, each opening for one day to help meet essential medical needs.

Public late-night pharmacies will be open daily from 9 a.m. until 1 a.m. the following day. Information on hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies open during the Chuseok holiday can be found on the Sejong City Hall website, the Sejong City App, the Emergency Medical Portal, and the Emergency Ddokddok App.

Lee Youngok, Director of Health and Welfare, stated, "As medical institutions and pharmacies may adjust their schedules, it is important to confirm by phone in advance before visiting. We will do our best to maintain the emergency medical system so that everyone can enjoy a safe Chuseok holiday. We also ask that patients with mild or non-emergency conditions visit local hospitals and clinics rather than emergency rooms, so that everyone can have a healthy Chuseok."
