Korea National Oil Corporation Launches Opinet Guide and Safe Driving Campaign for Chuseok Travelers

Save on fuel costs with Opinet.

Korea National Oil Corporation (President Kim Dongseob) is promoting Opinet, a service that helps reduce fuel expenses, in celebration of the Chuseok holiday, when vehicle traffic increases significantly.

The corporation collects price information from over 10,000 gas stations and fueling stations nationwide to ensure transparent fuel transactions and stabilize consumer prices, and then releases this data on the Opinet website and application.

Korea National Oil Corporation explains that by comparing prices and making rational fueling decisions through Opinet, consumers can save 220,000 to 440,000 won per year-an amount equivalent to the cost of a traditional Chuseok table. During this Chuseok holiday, the corporation introduced ways to save on fuel expenses by using Opinet.

Consumers can visit the Opinet website or application to check domestic and international oil price trends, price fluctuations, regional average price differences, and search for the lowest-priced gas stations along their travel routes for long-distance trips. They can also find the lowest-priced gas stations nearby, stations offering discounts or point accumulation services, and those partnered with local gift certificate programs to save on fuel costs.

In addition, Opinet provides information on duty-free fuel stations, stations selling urea solution, and stations involved in illegal activities.

On the afternoon of the 2nd, Korea National Oil Corporation held a campaign at highway rest areas, including the Giheung gas station on the Gyeongbu Expressway, to promote the use of Opinet and safe driving among Chuseok travelers as a way to save on fuel costs.

We will actively promote Opinet so that many people can save on fuel costs and support their household finances."
